JACOB D. MORALES is an associate attorney with the law firm of Whitted Takiff LLC. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Morales worked as a law clerk at Walsh Gallegos Kyle Robinson & Roalson P.C., an education law firm that represents school districts in Texas. He also served as a legal intern for the national Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law where he assisted attorneys on the Educational Opportunities Project who advocate for racial justice and equity in education.
While in law school, Mr. Morales served as a 711-licensed student attorney at the Civitas ChildLaw Clinic, representing children as a guardian ad litem (GAL) in child protection cases and a child representative in domestic relations parenting disputes. He also joined the Loyola Legislation and Policy Clinic where he collaborated with policy advocates in Illinois to pass a state law that prevents schools from issuing municipal fines and tickets as a form of discipline for students. Additionally, Mr. Morales was an active member of the Moot Court Program at Loyola, competing as an oralist at national appellate advocacy competitions.
Mr. Morales received his law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with a certificate in Child and Family Law. Before Loyola, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Youth and Community Studies.
