Karen E. Zimmermann is an associate with the law firm of Whitted Takiff LLC. Prior to joining the firm, she was an attorney with the ASA Law Group, UpRight Law and a legal intern for Equip for Equality. Ms. Zimmermann received her law degree from John Marshall Law School and earned a B.S. in Special Education from Miami University.
Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Zimmermann was a special education teacher in the state of Ohio. While attending law school, Ms. Zimmermann externed as a law clerk for Federal Court Judge Robert Gettleman and Prairie State Legal Services, as well as worked as a Legal Research Assistant for John Marshall Professor Debra Stark. Ms. Zimmermann also has volunteered for several pro bono and advocacy clinics, including the North Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA), the Riverside Foundation, PAD Shelter, and Rainbow Time therapies.
